Prof. Dr. GUAN Qiao
Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE),Senior Research Fellow at MTI.

Prof. Dr. GUAN Qiao is a senior research fellow at AVIC Manufacturing Technology Institute (MTI) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE). His research experience is in welding technologies and welded structures mainly for the aerospace applications, which include welding mechanics, in-process controlling mechanisms, low stress no distortion (LSND) welding method, etc.
At the Moscow Bauman Institute of Engineering, he was graduated in 1959 and obtained his Ph. D. degree in 1963. From 1987 to 1988, Prof Guan, as a academic visitor sponsored by the Royal Society of Fellowship UK, carried out a join research project at The Welding Institute (TWI) in Cambridge. In 1994, he was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in recognition of his contributions in the advancement of welding technology and engineering application. In addition, Prof Guan was the President of the Chinese Welding Society (1990-1995), and the Vice-President of the International Institute of Welding (IIW, 1992-1995 ). He was the initiator of the National Key Laboratory on Power Beam Processes at MTI in 1993. His contribution on friction stir welding was also well recognized by establishing the China Friction Welding Center at MTI in 2002.
Moreover, Prof Guan has awarded by many international prizes for his achievement on welding technologies. In 1999, he received the lifetime achievement award, Y. Arata Prize, from the International Institute of Welding (IIW). He was honored in 2005 with the Brooker Medal by The Welding Institute. In 2010, he has been decorated with The Ukraine State Medal of Merits & Achievements for his outstanding contributions in welding science and technology.
In 2017, Prof Guan received 2017 IIW Fellow Award from the IIW.

Prof. Li Zhiqiang
AVIC Chief Expert in Aeronautical Manufacturing

Prof. Li Zhiqiang was graduated from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1986 and obtained his Ph.D degree from University of Science and Technology Beijing. He is the AVIC Chief Expert in Aeronautical Manufacturing.

Prof. Li has 30 years solid research experience in manufacturing technology, especially in Superplasticity, for aircraft components and equipments. He has rich experience in materials processing and aeronautical & astronautic manufacturing engineering. His research interests involve Superplasticity, Super Plastic Forming (SPF)/Diffusion Bonding (DB) technology of titanium, forming technology of aircraft complex structures, spinning process and equipment, titanium matrix composites (TMC) fabrication technology, forming and reinforcement with shot peening, stretch forming with reconfigurable tooling and titanium processing technology.
Prof. Li is the Associate Professor at Imperial College London, Northwestern Polytechnical University, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Prof. Zeng Yuansong
AVIC Chief Expert in Plastic Processing Technologies

Prof. Zeng Yuansong was graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology and obtained his Ph.D degree in the same institute. He is the AVIC Chief Expert in Plastic Processing Technologies.
Prof Zeng’s research field involves creep age forming, shot peen forming, simulation of the forming process, forming of large integral panels, etc. He has won the National Science and Technology Progress Awards in 2008, and selected as the member of the national “top 10,000 talents” program. Prof Zeng has published over 100 scientific paper and obtained 20 authorized patents.

Prof. Guo Delun
AVIC Chief Expert in Welding Technology.

Prof. Guo Delun is the AVIC Chief Expert in Welding Technology. He was graduated from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 1985.
Prof. Guo’s research interest is in low stress no distortion welding of thin structures, linear friction welding, blisk manufacturing technologies. He has obtained several national awards, young talent award, and AVIC awards. In addition, Prof. Guo has 5 authorized patents and published dozens of research papers and books.

Prof. Gong Shuili
AVIC Chief Expert in Special Processing Technology

Prof. Gong Shuili,who enjoys State Council Special Allowance, is AVIC Chief Expert in Special Processing Technology,Director of National Key Laboratory on Power Beam Processing Technology. He is also a natural science researcher, Vice-director of high-beam and special welding Branch of China Welding Association, Senior Member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. He has over 20 years experience in High Energy Density beam Processing Technology for different industry sectors gained through work carried out both within MTI and with previous employment. Gong has published more than 80 papers.

Prof. Yang Hui
AVIC Chief Expert in Precision Ultra-precision Machining and Micro-processing Technology

Prof. Yang Hui, Doctor of Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Director of Precision Ultra-precision Machining Technology Committee of AVIC Manufacturing Technology Center, Expert Technical Committee of National Science and Technology Ultra-precision Machining Technology Research and Application Center, Adjunct Professor of Beijing University of Science and Technology, Advisor of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research experience is in precision manufacturing technology theory, methods and mechanisms, ultra-precision machining of components, ultra-precision machining technology, micro-manufacturing technology,. He is AVIC chief expert in Precision Ultra-precision Machining and Micro-processing Technology and enjoys State Council Special Allowance.

He is responsible for “micro-machined parts ultra-precision machining technology” “optical free-form surface ultra-precision machining technology” and many other national key projects, aviation innovation fund, and other horizontal scientific research task, etc.
He has won the second prize of Scientific and Technological Achievements of the Ministry of Aviation for several times and published more than 80 papers.

Dr. Liu Xiaochun
AVIC Chief Expert in Functional Composites for Special Application

Dr. Liu Xiaochun was graduated from the Radar and electrical countermeasure specialty of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA). Mr. Liu is currently the associate professor at NUAA and Harbin Institute of Technology. In 2012, Liu has become the the AVIC chief expert in Functional Composites for Special Application. Dr. Liu’s research field covers functional electro-magnetic window and stealth structures, overall scheme design for electro-magnetic windows/radome, as well as in design and simulation for radomeelectrical performances, stealth design, frequency selection surfaces, meta-material /meta-surfaces, electrical thickness inspection and correction as well as the electrical performance tests. Many of his research findings have been put into engineering application with excellent achievements.

Dr. Liu has won National science and technology progress award and published over 30 papers in the electro-magnetic fields.

Prof. Zhang Baoyan
AVIC Chief Expert in Resin Matrix Composite

Prof. Zhang Baoyan, received his Ph.D in Energetic Materials and enrolled in “National Key Talent Project” and entitled “Young and Mid-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions”. He is the AVIC Chief Expert in Resin Matrix Composite.
Prof. Zhang’s research involves high performance BMI composite, series of low temperature curing high performance composite, rapid curing prepreg, structure-function composite as well as basic and application research on domestic carbon fiber and its composite. He has been responsible for a number of national key projects and Key Lab Funded projects. Material systems from his research are widely applied to aerospace and other industries. Prof Zhang has published over 100 papers and got over 30 patents, he also received National Award for Technological Invention (one 2nd prize)
